TEASER SHORT STORY
“The year 1918. Istanbul under occupation. A tired, poor, captive people. When Galip Kulaksızoğlu, one of the founders and first captain of Fenerbahçe, returns from the front, he is a Turkish youth who has lost all hope for the future, for football and for the liberation of the homeland.
The force that transforms Galip is Mustafa Kemal Pasha, the heroic commander of the Gallipoli War. When Mustafa Kemal Pasha visits the Fenerbahçe club, he shows the youth the mission of Fenerbahçe. This mission is to use the unifying effect of football to instill morale in the people and strengthen national consciousness and unity.
While Fenerbahçe reinforces the public’s belief in victory through successful competitions against the teams of enemy forces, it also contributes greatly to the struggle in Anatolia through its operations with the Mim Mim Society, the intelligence and logistics network of the national movement in Istanbul. By winning the Harington Cup match, which the British saw as a last possibility of victory, it presents our country with the Harington Cup, one of the greatest victories in our football history…”
