Fenerbahçe signed three promising young players!

Fenerbahçe has secured the services of Can Bartu Çığır, Utku Karakaya, and Yiğit Evin from Gençlerbirliği. Fenerbahçe has also obtained amateur licenses for all three players.

The transfer of Gençlerbirliği’s young talents Can Bartu Çığır, Utku Karakaya, and Yiğit Evin to Fenerbahçe was confirmed, with Gençlerbirliği Club President Niyazi Akdaş making statements about the 15-year-old players’ move.

Akdaş, explaining the agreement with Fenerbahçe for the four young players, stated, “One of our players and his family did not want to leave. Therefore, Can Bartu Çığır, Utku Karakaya, and Yiğit Evin went. We reached an agreement with Fenerbahçe for the players for 200 thousand euros. If Fenerbahçe sells these players, we have a 15% share in the proceeds from the next sale.”

Can Bartu Çığır, named after Fenerbahçe and Turkish sports legend “Sinyor” Can Bartu, expressed, “I want to represent my name in the best way possible and leave another Can Bartu name in Turkish football history.”

“We want to set an example for the kids in Gençlerbirliği’s youth academy.”

Yiğit Evin, in his interview, said, “It is an honor to go to Fenerbahçe. Our priority is to represent Gençlerbirliği, our family, and the Fenerbahçe emblem in the best way possible. We aim to reach the A team at Fenerbahçe and set an example for the kids in Gençlerbirliği’s youth academy.”

Utku Karakaya, who started playing football in Karabük and joined Gençlerbirliği’s youth academy at the age of 11 in 2019, mentioned in his interview that he looks up to Arda Güler, İrfan Can Kahveci, Luka Modric, and Kevin De Bruyne.
