Statement after the meeting of the Turkish Football Federation and the Clubs Association

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak stated that the meeting with the TFF Board and the Clubs Association Board was productive, saying, “It was a very productive meeting. We will meet frequently with our stakeholders. We thank the club presidents, the TFF Board, and the president very much.” TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi also commented on the meeting, saying, “We discussed important issues in our football. We deliberated on the issues together. It was a very good and productive meeting.” Clubs Association and Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç stated, “We transparently evaluated the problems we have experienced.”

The Turkish Football Federation Board and the Club Association Board, along with the participation of Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, gathered at the TFF facilities in Riva.

After the meeting, Ali Koç, the President of the Club Association and Fenerbahçe, stated, “We transparently evaluated the problems we have experienced. We have a lot of work to do. If there is desire and will, we can say that we had a meeting where we can solve the problems of football shoulder to shoulder without exaggeration.”

“A very good and productive meeting”

TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi, in his statement, said, “We discussed important issues in our football. We deliberated on the issues together. It was a very good and productive meeting. We are a big family. I thank the Club Association and our presidents separately. Everyone is a separate member of this valuable family. The dialogue of all stakeholders is very important. It is our priority for this mechanism to function properly. If there is a problem, we will solve it together. If there is success or failure, we will take it on together. We need to prepare together for our national team to be successful. The 2032 European Football Championship is our goal, and we need to start working from today to create a national team aiming for championship. The country’s ranking is very important, and we need to aim for higher ranks.”

Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak, who attended the meeting, said, “It was a beautiful and productive meeting. It was a comprehensive meeting about the problems of Turkish sports and Turkish football. We had visited the Club Association Foundation and had a productive meeting. Opinions were expressed. We thank all the contributing club presidents. We are sure that we will carry this process together. We believe in solving these problems by discussing and evaluating them. It was suggested to have frequent meetings, and we also agree with that. There are some legal demands. We will evaluate them. It was a very productive meeting. We will meet frequently with our stakeholders. We thank the club presidents, the TFF Board, and the president very much. We are always together.
