Crisis before the Super Cup match: Allegation of National Anthem crisis!

A crisis has been alleged regarding the "National Anthem" and "Atatürk banner" before the Turkcell Super Cup match to be played tonight between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has issued a statement on the matter.

It is claimed that before the match to be played tonight in Saudi Arabia, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have been informed that the display of the “Atatürk banner” and the wearing of a corresponding T-shirt will not be allowed.

Both Clubs Disturbed

It is stated that the Saudi government officials who imposed the ban directly said, “We are speaking on behalf of the King,” and imposed a ban on both clubs regarding both T-shirts and banners.

It was learned that Saudi officials did not allow the display of a banner with the words of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, “Peace at Home, Peace in the World,” and both clubs were uncomfortable with the situation and were still in discussions with the authorities.

National Anthem will be sung

Contrary to allegations that the National Anthem would not be allowed, it was stated that permission would be granted for the singing of the National Anthem.

Statement from the Turkish Football Federation

The (TFF) made the following statement regarding the crisis before the Super Cup match to be played in Saudi Arabia:

“The Super Cup Match will begin with our Turkish Flag, the 100th Year Celebration Events, a moment of silence for our martyrs, and the singing of our National Anthem by the artist Norm Ender.”
