İrfan Can Kahveci: “I was very happy when I scored the goal”
After Fenerbahçe's 1-0 victory over Gaziantep FK away, İrfan Can Kahveci, who scored the winning goal for his team, made statements after the match.
Starting his words by offering condolences to the martyrs, İrfan Can Kahveci said, “Two days ago, we lost our martyrs. I wish mercy from Allah, and we are experiencing that sorrow.”
Expressing his joy at scoring the only goal of the match, İrfan Can Kahveci shared, “I was very happy when I scored the goal. I cannot describe those feelings. It is even more special for me because I can’t score many goals with my head. If I’m not mistaken, this is my second headed goal in the league. So, I am happy for that.”
Regarding the choice for the player of the match, İrfan Can, who made an important save in the last minutes, leaned towards Dominik Livakovic. He said, “It’s a tough choice, but I would give it to Liva because he made a nice save in the last minute. I congratulate him. We won not just as individuals but as a team. We deserved to win. We continue on our path.”
As for finishing the match without conceding a goal, İrfan Can Kahveci stated, “We were scoring a lot of goals, but we were also conceding one jinxed goal. Today, we are happy not to have conceded a goal. We shouldn’t concede goals. Even if we score seven, we should finish the matches without conceding. We are already discussing this.
