Fans Cheer as Fenerbahçe Comes Home After Trabzon Incident!
Following their 3-2 victory over Trabzonspor in an away game, Fenerbahçe team, who faced an attack from Trabzonspor fans on the field, returned to Istanbul.
Arriving at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport around 4:00 in the morning, the Fenerbahçe plane was greeted by thousands of Fenerbahçe fans with torches and chants.
Fenerbahçe captain Mert Hakan Yandaş addressed the fans, especially cheering for the players, including Osayi-Samuel.
Captain Mert Hakan Yandaş said:
“Thank you all for coming here at this time of night. The Fenerbahçe emblem will never fall anywhere as long as it belongs to you and us. The greatness of Fenerbahçe is not in championships or trophies. Regardless of the outcome of the season, I am proud of everyone in this team. We love you all very much. Thank you, and stay well!”
