Fenerbahçe’s European Journey Continues in UEFA Europa League
Fenerbahçe was eliminated by the French team Lille in the UEFA Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round. The Yellow-Navies will continue their campaign in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round, Fenerbahçe, hosting the French side Lille, drew 1-1. Having lost the first leg 2-1, the Yellow-Navies ended the 90 minutes of the second leg 1-0 up. In the 118th minute of extra time, Lille equalized with a penalty. No further goals were scored, and Fenerbahçe bid farewell to the Champions League. The Yellow-Navies will continue their European journey in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
