İsmail Kartal: “There Was Clear Provocation Against Mourinho”
Former Fenerbahçe and current Persepolis head coach İsmail Kartal has made striking remarks about the recent incident between Jose Mourinho and Okan Buruk.
Speaking at a press conference as the manager of Iranian side Persepolis, İsmail Kartal addressed the situation involving Jose Mourinho and Okan Buruk:
“I watched it, I saw it. Mourinho is a world-class coach, a widely recognized one. From what I observed, it looked like there was some provocation involved.”
“Otherwise, why would Mourinho just suddenly grab the opposing coach’s nose for no reason? Plus, it was a cup match, and they still have a chance in the league.”
“In a league with a 3-point system, anything can happen. I wish them success in the title race. I truly believe they can become champions.”
