Referee Cihan Aydın, a Controversial Choice, to Officiate Fenerbahçe vs. Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup Quarterfinals.
The referees for the Ziraat Turkish Cup quarterfinal matches have been announced. Accordingly, the highly anticipated Fenerbahçe–Galatasaray clash, set to take place on Wednesday, April 2, at 20:45 in Ülker Stadium, will be officiated by the controversial referee Cihan Aydın. His assistants will be Deniz Caner Özaral and Volkan Ahmet Narinç, while Burak Pakkan will serve as the fourth official.
Cihan Aydın previously sparked controversy when he participated in an online referee meeting organized by the Turkish Football Federation under the nickname “En Büyük Galatasaray” (Greatest Galatasaray).
