Coach İsmail Kartal: “The first half was as we planned.”

Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal said after the win against Hatayspor; "There might be a slight injury problem with Livakovic, but I don't think it's serious."

In the Turkish Super League, Fenerbahçe hosted Atakaş Hatayspor on their pitch. The yellow-navy team won the match 4-2.

İsmail Kartal, the head coach of Fenerbahçe, evaluated the win to the broadcaster BeIN Sports.

The experienced manager said in his post-match statement; “The first half was as we planned. In the meeting before the second half, we talked about doing the job with the same seriousness. We said that we shouldn’t get complacent, but in the second half we conceded goals with the comfort of the score. I wish Volkan brother success in the next games.”

İsmail Kartal: “Livakovic is not in a serious condition”

İsmail Kartal continued his words as follows; “I have said it before, I always think match by match. In the second half we had a game we didn’t want. We will talk about it. This match is behind us now, now we will look at the Ludogorets match in the UEFA Conference League. Livakovic may have a slight injury problem, but I think it is not serious.”

Commenting on the Ludogorets match, Kartal said; “We watched the match where they conceded 7 goals against Nordsjaelland. That is definitely not the realistic score of the match. Nobody should call Ludogorets a bad or weak team. We will play against a very strong team on Thursday. We want to leave with 3 points in front of our fans.”

When asked about the Super Cup match to be played in Saudi Arabia, Kartal said, “After playing the last match on December 24th, foreigners have vacations. It may not be very positive for foreigners, but this is the decision taken by the federation, we will play, it is not a problem for us.”
