A surprising claim from France has emerged regarding Fenerbahçe, who are in the race for the Trendyol Süper Lig title.
According to a report by Foot Mercato, the yellow-dark blue side are interested in 22-year-old Alan Virginius, who is currently under contract with Lille.
It was noted that Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho has been monitoring the young player and is impressed by him. It is also mentioned that Virginius is being considered as a replacement for Allan Saint-Maximin.
The 22-year-old winger, who is currently on loan at Young Boys, has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists in 34 appearances for the Swiss club this season.
Virginius, whose current market value is listed at €3 million, is under contract with Lille until 2027.
