Decision on Edin Dzeko ahead of the national matches

Fenerbahçe's successful forward, Edin Dzeko, has received special permission ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina's two matches. Edin Dzeko will not play in the matches against Luxembourg and Slovakia.

Fenerbahçe’s experienced forward, , obtained special permission from the National Team’s Head Coach, Savo Milosevic, ahead of the national matches.

Edin Dzeko will not be available for the matches on November 16 against Luxembourg and November 19 against Slovakia in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s EURO 2024 Qualifiers.

“Dzeko will soon retire from the national team”

Edin Dzeko revealed in a conversation with former Fenerbahçe player Elvir Balić that national team matches exhaust him, and he will soon retire from the national team.

Both Edin Dzeko, with permission from Coach Milosevic, and Miralem Pjanic will not be playing in these matches, as mentioned in the news from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s media outlet, Klix. It was reported that Milosevic used the words, ‘Our captain asked for permission for the next two matches, and we reached an agreement.’

Furthermore, Milosevic expressed that Miralem Pjanic would miss these matches due to an injury.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are currently in 5th place with 9 points after the 8th match in Group J of the EURO 2024 Qualifiers.
