Permission granted for Samet Akaydin to leave Fenerbahçe!
The 29-year-old defender of the yellow-navy team had requested permission to leave Fenerbahçe before EURO 2024. A decision was made for Samet Akaydın after a meeting with the management at the club building yesterday.

Samet Akaydın, who was transferred from Adana Demirspor for 3.5 million Euros during the last season’s mid-term, couldn’t meet expectations at Fenerbahçe. Samet decided to leave to get more playing time before EURO 2024. The manager of the 29-year-old defender met with the management at the club building yesterday, requesting facilitation on this matter.
Vetoed by Montella for Russia
Samet, who wanted to transfer to another club to get more playing time, received 1-2 offers from clubs in Russia. However, Turkish National Team coach Vincenzo Montella advised the player not to go to Russia. Despite not getting playing time at Fenerbahçe, Samet Akaydın was included in and played for the A National Team by Montella.
Permission granted by the management!
Yesterday, the 29-year-old defender, after meeting with the Fenerbahçe management, was granted permission. The Yellow-Navy club accepted Samet Akaydın’s request. It is expected that the National player, who has suitors from Russia, Belgium, and domestically, will go on loan.
The experienced defender played in 11 matches for Fenerbahçe this season. Samet Akaydın wore the yellow-navy jersey 10 times in the Trendyol Super League and once in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
