Panathinaikos expresses interest in Fenerbahçe’s Samet Akaydin

According to Ertan Süzgün’s report, Panathinaikos, under the management of Fatih Terim, is interested in acquiring Samet Akaydin from Fenerbahçe.
Transfer negotiations took place in Istanbul
The report states that Panathinaikos officials met with the 29-year-old defender’s agent in Istanbul to discuss details. It is emphasized that the player is looking for more playing time in a new team.
Transferred for 3.7 million Euros
Samet Akaydin, who was transferred from Adana Demirspor to Fenerbahçe for 3.7 million Euros at the beginning of the previous season, has played 11 matches this season with the yellow and navy blue jersey. He appeared in 10 matches in the Trendyol Süper Lig and once in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Contract until 2026
The 29-year-old player’s contract with Fenerbahçe is set to expire on June 30, 2026. His current market value is reported to be 2.8 million Euros.
Samet Akaydin has represented the Turkish national team four times, providing one assist.
