Samet Akaydin loaned to Panathinaikos team!
Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement with Panathinaikos for the transfer of Samet Akaydin. The Greek team, coached by Fatih Terim, has signed Akaydin on loan until the end of the season.

This marks the first departure from Fenerbahçe, as they have finalized the deal with Panathinaikos for Samet Akaydin‘s transfer.
No purchase option
The Greek team, which appointed Fatih Terim as the head coach, has loaned Samet until the end of the season. The agreement does not include a purchase option. If Panathinaikos is satisfied with the 29-year-old player’s performance, further negotiations will take place.

Speaking at the airport, Samet Akaydın stated, “Fatih Terim played a role in my arrival here. When Panathinaikos made me an offer, I didn’t hesitate to accept. It’s important that the team’s goal is championship, and that was one of the reasons I wanted to come. Arao is here; we played in the same team. I spoke to him, and he told me some things. I watched the team’s matches and saw our passionate fans. I’m eager to step onto the field and play for Panathinaikos.”
Samet Akaydin’s performance this season
The Turkish national player, who has a contract with Fenerbahçe until 2026, has appeared in 11 matches wearing the yellow and navy jersey this season. Fenerbahçe recently strengthened their squad with the additions of Leonardo Bonucci and Rade Krunic.
