Fenerbahçe Tops UEFA Country Rankings: Most Contribution in Last 5 Seasons
Turkey, ensuring a top 10 finish in the UEFA country ranking, will directly send a team to the Champions League in the 2024-2025 season. Fenerbahçe has contributed the most among Turkish teams in the last 5 seasons, including this season.

After a hiatus of 3 seasons, Turkey has earned the right to send a direct team to the UEFA Champions League. Despite Turkey ending this week without points following Fenerbahçe‘s 1-0 loss to Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Europa Conference League second leg, the absence of Scottish teams in UEFA competitions, especially with Glasgow Rangers being eliminated, has opened the “Champions League” door wide for the Super Lig champions of the 2024-2025 season. The team contributing the most to the country ranking in the last 5 seasons has been determined.
OUTSIDE THE TOP 8, TURKEY, CZECHIA, AND GREECE CONTINUE THEIR PATH
Turkey, Czechia, and Greece are positioned as the three countries sending teams to the quarter-finals outside the top 8 in the UEFA rankings. Czechia, ranked 11th in the ranking, has 35.8 points. Greece, on the other hand, ranks 17th with 29.525 points. While Turkey and Czechia continue with one team each, Greece continues with two, with four teams competing in the UEFA Conference League. Fenerbahçe from Turkey, Viktoria Plzen from Czechia, and Olympiacos along with PAOK from Greece will sweat it out for a spot in the semi-finals of UEFA’s third-ranked competition.
