Fenerbahçe Captain Edin Dzeko Optimistic Ahead of Olympiacos Clash in UEFA Europa Conference League Quarter-Finals

Fenerbahçe's captain, Edin Dzeko, stated that they aim to achieve a good result in the away match against Olympiacos. Dzeko commented on the match, saying, "Of course, the most important thing will be to do our best and secure a good result in the match we will play there."

Fenerbahçe, who advanced to the quarter-finals by eliminating Union Saint-Gilloise, has been paired with Olympiacos. If Fenerbahçe advances through this round, they will face the winner of the Aston Villa–Lille pairing.

Following the draw, Fenerbahçe’s captain, Edin Dzeko, evaluated the Olympiacos pairing on the club’s television.

“I SEE THE CHANCES AS EQUAL”

Edin Dzeko said the following about the Olympiacos pairing: “We watched their second leg match from yesterday. It was truly impressive, I must say. They won 6-1, but I believe their chances against us are 50-50. Because every team at this level is good, so I see the chances as equal. I don’t know, of course, because in today’s football, there is no advantage for the away goal. Therefore, of course, there will be advantages to playing the second leg at our home ground. However, I cannot say this is a 100% advantage because, as we saw in the last round against Union Saint-Gilloise, we won away and lost at home. The most important thing will be to do our best and secure a good result in the match we will play there.”
