Batshuayi Equals Dzeko’s Fenerbahçe Goal Count!
Fenerbahçe's Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi found the net for the 24th time this season with his goal against Kayserispor. Batshuayi has now equaled his teammate Edin Dzeko's total goal tally.
Michy Batshuayi, Fenerbahçe‘s Belgian striker, made his third appearance in the starting lineup in the league this season as the yellow-navy team defeated Kayserispor 3-0.
Throughout the season, coach İsmail Kartal has consistently given Edin Dzeko starting opportunities in the league. However, Batshuayi has often come on as a substitute and contributed crucial goals, earning important points for Fenerbahçe. Against Kayserispor, he raised his league goal tally to 12 and his total goals for the season to 24 by finding the back of the net.
The 30-year-old player had previously scored six goals each in the Ziraat Turkey Cup and the Europa Conference League.
