Batshuayi’s Contract Expired, Negotiations Continue, Says Ali Koç
Ali Koç has made a statement regarding Michy Batshuayi, whose contract with Fenerbahçe has expired. The president mentioned that Mourinho is interested in Batshuayi and that other clubs in Turkey are also keen on the Belgian forward.
Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç made striking remarks about Michy Batshuayi‘s transfer.
Speaking to Habertürk, Ali Koç expressed their desire to continue with Batshuayi.
Koç, indicating that head coach Jose Mourinho is positive about Michy Batshuayi, said:
“We are very pleased with Batshuayi. His contract has ended, and there is no option to extend it. He is very loved and has a very positive character. The coach is favorable towards Batshuayi. Negotiations are ongoing.”
Additionally, Ali Koç mentioned that other clubs in Turkey are also interested in Michy Batshuayi.
Commenting on the expired contract of Mert Hakan Yandaş, Ali Koç said, “I was very angry with Mert Hakan, but he is a true Fenerbahçe fan. He lives and breathes Fenerbahçe.”
Due to the new rule, the president indicated that the value of Turkish players would increase and expressed hope for Mert Hakan Yandaş to stay, saying, “Hopefully, he will stay.”
Furthermore, Ali Koç stated that there is no release clause in Sebastian Szymanski‘s contract.
