Fenerbahçe’s Historic €100M Transfer Budget for Mourinho Revealed
After Ali Koç won the presidential election at Fenerbahçe, attention turned to transfers. Manager Victor Becali, a known friend of Jose Mourinho, made a striking claim about the yellow-dark blue club's transfer budget. Becali also mentioned that Ianis Hagi, the footballer son of Galatasaray legend Gheorghe Hagi, might come into Fenerbahçe's consideration.
Speaking to the Romanian press outlet Fanatik, Victor Becali stated that Fenerbahçe‘s new head coach, Jose Mourinho, has always had an interest in Ianis Hagi.
While Becali noted that Fenerbahçe has not taken any concrete steps regarding Ianis Hagi, he indicated that if Mourinho wants the player, Fenerbahçe could take action.
Becali also made a bold claim about Fenerbahçe’s transfer budget.
He revealed that Mourinho was given a transfer budget of 100 million euros.
In his statement, the Romanian manager said, “Fenerbahçe has provided a record budget. They will bring in very, very valuable players.”
Becali continued, “Mourinho will bring in players worth over 100,000,000 euros.”
