Mourinho’s Derby Plan: Fenerbahçe to Test New Starting 11 Against Kasımpaşa
Fenerbahçe's head coach, Jose Mourinho, who aims to prepare the new signings for the starting 11 in the Galatasaray derby, is reportedly set to initiate changes in the squad starting with the Kasımpaşa match.
Fenerbahçe, who recently reinforced their squad with Sofyan Amrabat and Filip Kostic, is expected to take the first steps toward forming a new starting 11 in the Kasımpaşa match, with the new signings fully taking the stage in the Galatasaray derby.
According to Milliyet Newspaper, En-Nesyri has received limited playing time in previous matches for the yellow-navy blues due to both Edin Dzeko’s form and not being at the desired physical level. However, it has been reported that in the new phase, the star striker will be integrated into the starting 11.
The arrival of Kostic has given head coach Jose Mourinho more comfort. With Ferdi Kadıoğlu‘s departure leaving left-back to Oosterwolde, and since Kostic can also play in this position, it was emphasized that Mourinho immediately approved this transfer.
It has emerged that Sofyan Amrabat, who participated in his first training session yesterday, will be in the starting 11 for the Kasımpaşa match to be played on Sunday in the Süper Lig, and En-Nesyri will also get more playing time.
Next week’s derby is expected to see the new Fenerbahçe team fully on the field. It is learned that Kostic may move to left-back, and after assessing Djiku’s condition, who has a slight injury, Oosterwolde could take up the role of left center-back.
Meanwhile, it was noted that after the international break, Jose Mourinho is pleased with the team’s physical condition.
