Former Coach Aykut Kocaman: ‘Fans Must Trust Mourinho’s Step-by-Step Approach’
Former Fenerbahçe manager Aykut Kocaman has emphasized the need to support the team's current coach, Jose Mourinho, and issued a warning to the fans.
Speaking to the Playspor YouTube channel, Kocaman said the following:
“I can understand fans of other teams using certain platforms to make moves that could shorten Mourinho’s tenure. This is one of the phases of competition, as long as it doesn’t get ‘ugly’.”
“But Fenerbahçe fans, especially those who truly consider themselves Fenerbahçe supporters, need to remember that this is a process, and they have a highly qualified coach. They shouldn’t forget that this skilled coach is advancing toward the main goal with a step-by-step approach.”
“Of course, he will make mistakes, but he will correct those mistakes as he goes. People don’t reach this level for nothing. None of us are perfect, just as he isn’t.”
“He has reached this point in his coaching career after going through various phases. Therefore, while he’s trying to understand the country’s football and its dynamics, he will make a lot of mistakes. But his real talent lies in his ability to correct these mistakes quickly.”
