Mourinho’s Game-Changing Moves Lead Fenerbahçe to Victory in Trabzon
In Fenerbahçe's 3-2 away victory over Trabzonspor, head coach Jose Mourinho was the mastermind behind the win with his tactical adjustments and substitutions.
According to Milliyet newspaper, Mourinho‘s interventions caught attention during the match, where Fenerbahçe scored the winning goal in the 90+12th minute. After facing heavy pressure in the first 20 minutes, the Portuguese coach decided to abandon playing out from the back and switched to long passes to regain control.
In just 10 minutes, Fenerbahçe took five shots on target, two of which were on goal, creating key scoring opportunities.
After falling behind 2-1, Mourinho made three substitutions to change the course of the game. He replaced Maximin, Szymanski, and Osayi with Kostic, Dzeko, and İrfan Can Kahveci, shifting to a two-forward formation. İrfan Can provided an assist, and Dzeko scored the equalizer.
With İsmail Yüksek coming on for Fred, Fenerbahçe increased their pressing and began winning second balls.
The winning goal came from Amrabat, assisted by Kostic, who sent in a cross after coming off the bench.
