Milan Skriniar, who played the full 90 minutes, shared his thoughts:
“We knew it would be a tough match, and we expected it. Our opponent had no plan other than pressing high. We’re happy to have reached the Round of 16. My job is to defend. I play with clarity during the game, and I know I can do even better. I’m working on improving my performance. But it’s not about me; it’s about my team. We are very happy to have advanced today.”
Yusuf Akçiçek, who scored Fenerbahçe’s second goal, also commented:
“We fought really well in the game. At times, we gave the ball to the opponent and defended more than usual. I’m happy and proud to have scored. We are representing our country, and we hope to do so successfully in the Round of 16 as well. Fenerbahçe is a huge club, and I want to give my 100% and do everything I can.”
