Brazilian Media: Rodrigo Becao Was in Talks with Cruzeiro Before His Injury
During Fenerbahçe's Week 17 Süper Lig match against Başakşehir, Rodrigo Becao, Dominik Livakovic, and Oğuz Aydın all suffered injuries. While Livakovic and Oğuz's conditions are less severe, it has been confirmed that Becao's injury will keep him off the pitch for 6-8 months.

The Brazilian defender sustained a complete tear in his right anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments. With Becao ruled out for the remainder of the season, Fenerbahçe‘s top priority in the upcoming transfer window will be strengthening their central defense. However, an unexpected detail has emerged regarding Becao’s situation.
On the Verge of Leaving
According to Brazilian outlet BNews, Becao was not in Jose Mourinho‘s future plans and had attracted interest from Brazilian club Cruzeiro. Initial contact between Becao and Cruzeiro had already been made before his injury.
Transfer Setback
Despite Cruzeiro’s interest, Becao’s severe knee injury has put the move on hold indefinitely. Having joined Fenerbahçe in 2023 after four years in Italy, Becao had also been linked with a move to Atalanta prior to his injury.
