Jose Mourinho Suspended: Fenerbahçe Coach to Miss Crucial Göztepe Clash!
In the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe delivered an impressive 4-0 away victory against Adana Demirspor but faces a shock with Jose Mourinho. The experienced coach will be absent from the sidelines in the upcoming match against Göztepe.

In Week 20 of the Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe capitalized on Galatasaray’s dropped points, defeating Adana Demirspor 4-0 and reducing the gap with their arch-rivals to six points. The goals for the Yellow-Navy Blues were scored by En-Nesyri (2), Edin Dzeko, and Cenk Tosun.
Next, Fenerbahçe will host Göztepe, one of the league’s tougher teams, at Kadıköy in Week 21.
MOURINHO’S ABSENCE A BLOW FOR FENERBAHÇE
Fenerbahçe’s Portuguese head coach, Jose Mourinho, will miss the Göztepe match due to suspension. Mourinho received a yellow card in the Adana Demirspor game, putting him over the limit. Previously booked in the first Adana Demirspor game, as well as matches against Antalyaspor and Trabzonspor, Mourinho has now accumulated four yellow cards, resulting in his suspension for the Göztepe fixture.
The TFF‘s regulation on yellow card suspensions is as follows:
“A coach, official, or club manager who receives a total of 4 (four) yellow cards in the same category of matches during a season, consecutively or intermittently (unless otherwise specified in the league statute), will not be listed in the matchday squad for the club’s next official match in that category. They are also barred from entering the locker room or technical area. However, suspended individuals may participate in matches of other categories if they are not suspended in those categories.”
