Levent Mercan Expresses Joy and Ambitions After Joining Fenerbahçe
Fenerbahçe's new transfer, Levent Mercan, expressed his happiness about joining the yellow-navy club. Levent Mercan said, "When the offer from Fenerbahçe came, I welcomed it with joy. It was my dream, and I am proud to be here."

The yellow-navy team’s new transfer, Levent Mercan, answered questions at the press conference.
Describing the transfer process to Fenerbahçe, the young footballer said, “I am very happy to be here. Our first training sessions went very well. Last season, I was thinking about how I could support Karagümrük. I didn’t think much about the transfer. We were in a difficult situation, and our coach didn’t want me to leave. I didn’t want to leave Karagümrük alone. When the offer from Fenerbahçe came, I welcomed it with joy. It was my dream, and I am proud to be here.”
Levent Mercan, who previously played in different positions, said, “I used to play in midfield. Left-back is a good position for me. I am also very happy to come here as a left-back. A player always wants to improve himself. Two years ago, I was playing in midfield. Now I can play in different positions.”

Answering questions about the camp and Jose Mourinho, Levent Mercan said, “The first days of the camp are going well. Everyone came prepared and is doing their best in training. It is intense; we are doing double sessions. As a new player, I want to get to know everyone better. I am working towards my dream. Wearing the national team jersey is my dream, and I am working for it. Working with Jose Mourinho is a great honor for me. The coach gave confidence to everyone. The things he does show his confidence. Working with Mourinho is wonderful. I am trying to learn something from the coach and his team. In past seasons, I worked with good coaches too. Working with the best coaches is great; I was never afraid to come here because it is a wonderful feeling for me.”
Levent Mercan concluded his words as follows, “It has been 3-4 days since I came to the camp. I am trying to get to know everyone. I played with Emre Mor before. Everyone welcomed me very well, and we get along well.”
