Jose Mourinho Announces Cenk Tosun Exit: “I Can’t Stop Him”
Following Fenerbahçe's match against Samsunspor in the Trendyol Süper Lig, head coach Jose Mourinho announced a player departure.

In Matchweek 28 of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe drew 0-0 at home against Reeder Samsunspor, bringing their points tally to 62. With one game in hand, Fenerbahçe narrowed the gap to 9 points behind Galatasaray.
After the match, Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho confirmed at the press conference that Cenk Tosun is leaving the club.
“I didn’t use Cenk very much. He’s our fourth striker. We have Nesyri, Dzeko, and Talisca ahead of him. I only put him on in emergency situations.”
“I can’t play with four strikers at the same time. At the end of the match, we were already playing with Kahveci, Nesyri, Dzeko, Sebastian, and Oğuz. Cenk is the fourth striker, a good person, and a true professional.”
“He will go somewhere where he will play more than he did here. Since he is a good person and a good professional, I can’t stop him from making this decision.”
