Ali Koç Fires Back: “I Never Had a One-on-One Meeting with Dursun Özbek”
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç has responded to the statements made last night by Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek.

Ali Koç issued a written statement via the club’s official channels, addressing Özbek’s remarks.
In the statement published on Fenerbahçe’s official website, Koç said:
“Mr. Özbek referred to a dialogue he claimed to have had with me, saying, ‘As the grandson of Dursun Özbek from Alucra, I would go on television with you, but I need to set the agenda. Let’s appear together and talk about the equal opportunities provided by the Republic to Turkish youth as the grandson of Dursun Özbek from Alucra and the grandson of Vehbi Koç. He did not accept this.’
This alleged dialogue has never taken place. It is purely a product of his imagination.
Despite formally inviting him five times for a ‘live discussion,’ we have never received a response or acknowledgment from him.
The so-called dialogue he mentioned is entirely fictional and did not happen.
To date, I have never had a one-on-one meeting or conversation with Mr. Özbek. There have always been other people present during our interactions.
Therefore, I request that he provide clear details about the date, location, and people present during the dialogue he claims occurred.
Unfortunately, this is yet another example of Mr. Özbek misleading the public by presenting something that never happened as if it were true.
This latest claim is a complete lie.
Taking this opportunity, I would also like to state that I am open to discussing any topic of his choice, including the subjects he wishes to address, live on air, in front of millions, to clarify and shed light on issues. I am ready to participate at a time, on a channel, and with individuals of his choosing.
I sincerely hope there will be no retreat from this invitation, as has been the case with past examples.”
What Did Dursun Özbek Say?
Dursun Özbek had stated:
“As the grandson of Dursun Özbek from Alucra, I am willing to appear on television with Mr. Ali Koç, but under one condition: I must set the agenda. Let’s appear together and, as the grandson of Dursun Özbek from Alucra and the grandson of Vehbi Koç, talk about the equal opportunities provided by the Republic to Turkish youth.”
