Jose Mourinho Questions Refereeing After Fenerbahçe’s 2-2 Draw

Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho stated that the draw against Samsunspor was a bad result for his team. Mourinho also added, "Let’s see if, in our own stadium, a goal like that will be given or if it will be called a foul."

In the 9th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe drew 2-2 away against Samsunspor.

After the match, Fenerbahçe’s coach, Jose Mourinho, evaluated the 90 minutes.

Regarding the match, Mourinho said, “We analyze our opponents before the games. We had a long time before this match, but we could only work with a full squad on Wednesday. There were mistakes on the field. We need to discuss these internally and work on them. The first goal we conceded was one we had discussed. We worked on our defensive organization. For the second goal, some teams would have called it a foul. I wouldn’t say it was a massive foul, but there was a push from behind. For some teams, that’s a foul, but not for us. After going up 2-1, we had two chances to finish the game. If we had scored, we could have sealed the match. When Jayden got injured, we had to make changes we didn’t want. A draw today is a bad result for us.”

Mourinho also commented, “We’ve already dropped 7 points. It doesn’t matter how we lost them. We need to focus on ourselves. We’ve already dropped 7 points. We have to keep going and take as many points as we can. Let’s see if, in our stadium, a goal like that will be given or if it will be called a foul.”
