İrfan Can Kahveci: “Our coach’s system contributed to my scoring”

Fenerbahçe‘s star player İrfan Can Kahveci held a press conference with coach İsmail Kartal before the Spartak Trnava match.

İrfan Can Kahveci’s statements are as follows:

“We started the season very well. We had a good streak in the league and in Europe. Then, there were unfortunate events and injuries. We lost our last two matches in Europe. Now, we are starting to recover. Our goal for tomorrow is to win the match and advance as the leader of the group.

Scoring is nice, but what excites me the most is the contribution I make to the game. Our coach İsmail’s playing system has a significant contribution to my scoring. Last year, I was also playing on the wing, but our playing system was different. This year, we are playing with a different system, which also contributes to me.

When I transferred to Fenerbahçe, I came as a number 8, but I am ready to play in any position according to the needs of our team. I enjoy playing as a number 8 more, but at the beginning of the season, we had discussions with our coach. It is more accurate for me to play where I can contribute to the team. Regardless of the position the coach assigns, I will do my best.”
