Fenerbahçe officially announced: Miguel Crespo loaned to Rayo Vallecano!
Fenerbahçe's midfielder Miguel Crespo has been loaned to the Spanish La Liga club Rayo Vallecano. The Portuguese player's agreement includes a purchase option.

Fenerbahçe’s Portuguese midfielder Miguel Crespo has been loaned to the La Liga team Rayo Vallecano, along with a purchase option. The 27-year-old defensive midfielder will wear the jersey of the Spanish club until the end of the season. In the statement made by the yellow-navy club, it was said, “In the restructuring of our Football A Team for the 2023-2024 season, our player Miguel Crespo has been loaned to Spain’s Rayo Vallecano until the end of the season with a purchase option. We wish success to our player for the remaining part of the season.”

Shortly after Fenerbahçe‘s announcement, Rayo Vallecano also announced Crespo’s transfer. The statement from the Spanish club said, “Miguel Crespo is a new player for Rayo Vallecano. The midfielder will come on loan from Fenerbahçe until the end of the season.”
Granada and Cadiz were also interested
Apart from Rayo Vallecano, other La Liga clubs Granada and Cadiz had also expressed interest in the Portuguese midfielder. However, the transfer concluded in favor of Rayo Vallecano. Crespo, who was transferred from the Portuguese club Estoril for a transfer fee of 1.5 million euros in 2021, played a total of 80 matches in the yellow-navy jersey. The 27-year-old defensive midfielder scored 5 goals and made 7 assists in these 80 matches. Crespo’s contract with Fenerbahçe is valid until the summer of 2025.
