Ministry of Interior Launches Investigation into Trabzonspor vs. Fenerbahçe Match Incidents

Minister of Interior Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account that an investigation has been launched into the on-field incidents that occurred during the Trabzonspor – Fenerbahçe match.

In his statement, the Minister of Interior Affairs stated: “Identity identification efforts regarding the spectators who entered the field after tonight’s Trabzonspor Fenerbahçe football match and investigations into the incidents after the match have been immediately initiated. Sport is, above all, about sportsmanship. Violence in football fields is never acceptable. The public will be informed about the developments.”

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak stated: “The incidents that occurred after the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match do not befit the spirit of friendship and brotherhood in sports. The relevant authorities have initiated the necessary investigation. We continue to closely monitor the process.”
