Record-Breaking Fenerbahçe: Dominates Away Matches

Fenerbahçe broke their away record by defeating Fatih Karagümrük 2-1 in a match where they trailed 1-0 at halftime in the 32nd week of the Süper Lig.

With the Karagümrük match, Fenerbahçe became the new owner of the away victory in the league.

Having been the team with the most away wins (12) in history, the yellow-navy team had previously won nine consecutive matches in a single season.

Under the management of coach in the 2010-2011 season, the yellow-navy team had managed to win their last nine away matches, equaling the record of nine matches held by Galatasaray (2002-2003).

Fenerbahçe extended this record to 12 matches in the 2011-2012 season by winning the first three away matches of the season and thus set the record for the most away victories in Süper Lig history.
