Fenerbahçe’s Defensive Line Undergoes Major Changes for Anderlecht Match

Fenerbahçe, who will play a crucial match against Belgium's Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa League play-off round on Thursday, is facing concerns in its defense line.

Due to injuries, the squad is missing several key players, and head coach José Mourinho is trying to find the best solution with the available players. The Portuguese coach has given specific instructions to the medical team to bring some players back to the team quickly, while also focusing on a new defensive formula.

With injuries increasing in recent weeks, Fenerbahçe has had to make changes to its squad planning, and the way the team will set up defensively against Anderlecht is of great concern.

INTENSE EFFORTS UNDERWAY.

Yusuf Akçiçek, who was injured during the Erzurumspor FK match, and Dominik Livakovic, who is close to recovery, are expected to return in time for the Galatasaray derby. Efforts are also being made to bring Alexander Djiku and Çağlar Söyüncü, who were injured during the Corendon Alanyaspor match, back to action within 10 days.

New signing Diego Carlos, however, will remain sidelined for at least another four weeks. Despite these key absences, Fenerbahçe is working hard to strengthen its defense line with the alternatives Mourinho has at his disposal and is doing everything possible to create an ideal setup.

AMRABAT TO THE RESCUE.

Following a solid defensive performance against Corendon Alanyaspor in the last league match, Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is set to partner with Milan Skriniar in central defense.

It is also expected that Mert Müldür, who has completed his recovery, will join Sofyan Amrabat and Milan Skriniar in the defensive line for the Anderlecht match to be played in Istanbul on Thursday evening.
