Italian Journalist Di Natale Comments on Filip Kostic’s Move to Fenerbahçe
Fenerbahçe, continuing its transfer activities, has added another name to its squad. Filip Kostic from Juventus arrived in Istanbul yesterday for the yellow and navy blues.
Mirko Di Natale, a reporter who closely follows Juventus, commented on the Serbian star for Fanatik newspaper.
Continuing its transfer efforts, Fenerbahçe has recently reached an agreement with Filip Kostic from Juventus. The yellow and navy blues brought the Serbian player to Istanbul last evening.
GALATASARAY ALSO WANTED HIM
Galatasaray also wanted to transfer the 31-year-old player, who is not considered part of the squad by Juventus’ head coach Thiago Motta. However, the Serbian star chose Fenerbahçe, reportedly influenced by Jose Mourinho.
We asked Italian reporter Mirko Di Natale, who closely follows Juventus, about Filip Kostic. Here are his responses:
MOTTA’S DECISION
“Kostic was placed on the transfer list due to the technical preferences of Juventus’ new head coach, Thiago Motta. The player is no longer part of the plans and has been excluded from the team (his jersey number has also been changed).”
REGARDING INJURY CLAIMS
“Kostic is currently looking for his best form. He arrived after an injury with the national team. I can say that he didn’t suffer any significant injuries during his two years at Juventus.”
THE PRESENCE OF TADIC AND DZEKO
“He is an international-level player who has won the Europa League and has always been in the starting 11 for his national team. The presence of Tadic and Dzeko could be important in terms of gaining the trust of new teammates and the club.”
‘HE WILL MAKE 100 CROSSES’
“Kostic can also play as a full-back, but he has different qualities compared to Saint-Maximin and Tadic. If 100 crosses need to be made to an attacking player during a match, Kostic will do it. He will be the right player for such moments. I see him better as an offensive winger.”
