Cristian Medina to Fenerbahçe! Payment Plan and Bonus Details Revealed
Boca Juniors has finally conceded in the long-pursued transfer of Cristian Medina, a player highly sought after by Fenerbahçe.

After the star player threatened, “If I don’t leave, I won’t play,” the Argentine club agreed to the transfer. Details of the transfer fee and payment plan have also emerged.
BOCA CONCEDES IN THE DEAL
Fenerbahçe has reached a successful outcome in the transfer of Cristian Medina, whom they have vigorously pursued since the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old central midfielder, considered a high-potential talent, saw Boca Juniors eventually relent, influenced by his ultimatum, “If I’m not allowed to leave in January, I won’t play for this team.”
TRANSFER COST CONFIRMED
For the transfer, Fenerbahçe will pay Boca Juniors a total of $15 million: $10 million as a transfer fee plus an additional $5 million in easily attainable bonuses. Although Fenerbahçe had offered this amount from the outset, issues continually arose over the payment plan. However, with a 20% future resale clause included for Boca Juniors, Fenerbahçe gained leverage in the negotiations. The $15 million will be paid over five installments, with the first $3 million installment due in April 2026. Subsequent payments will follow every six months from that date.
CRISTIAN MEDINA’S CAREER
Medina began his career in the youth system of Rayo de Malaver and moved to Boca Juniors in 2012. After eight years in Boca’s youth academy, he was promoted to the first team in 2020. Making his debut on February 14, 2021, the young star has proven versatile across midfield positions, recording 9 goals and 11 assists in 155 appearances. Medina also wore the Argentina national team jersey four times at the Paris Olympics and has represented the U16, U17, and U23 teams in 27 appearances.
