Oosterwolde Transfer Rumors Heat Up: Fenerbahçe Sets €20 Million Starting Price
Although Fenerbahçe's Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde has been sidelined for the season due to injury, he continues to be a top transfer target for several European clubs.
Reports indicate that Italian and English teams are preparing to approach Fenerbahçe in January regarding Oosterwolde, and that the club has already set a transfer fee for the 23-year-old player.
Oosterwolde suffered a season-ending ACL injury during Fenerbahçe’s match against Samsunspor in the 9th week of the Süper Lig. Despite his long-term injury, European teams remain interested in the young defender.
It is noted that clubs like Roma, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace plan to pursue his transfer in January, regardless of his injury.
The versatile player, who can operate both as a left-back and center-back, is reportedly attracting interest.
According to Sabah newspaper, Fenerbahçe’s management will set an initial price of 20 million euros for the transfer and will consider offers meeting that amount in January.
With a contract running until 2027, Oosterwolde has played 14 matches this season. Acquired from Parma for 6 million euros in January 2023, he has appeared in a total of 62 games for Fenerbahçe.
