Alex de Souza’s Gracious Response to Mourinho’s Compliment
Fenerbahçe legend and Antalyaspor head coach Alex de Souza has responded to remarks made by Jose Mourinho during their recent match, where the Portuguese manager expressed his wish for Alex to one day become the head coach of Fenerbahçe.
Following Fenerbahçe‘s 2-0 away victory against Antalyaspor in the 7th week of the Süper Lig, Mourinho had stated, “I hope Alex will one day be the head coach of Fenerbahçe.”
In an interview with A Spor, Alex was asked about Mourinho’s comments and offered the following response:
“Thank you. I simply extend my gratitude. He is a great figure who has won championships in different countries in recent years and is currently serving Fenerbahçe. His thoughts are kind, and I thank him for them.”
