Fenerbahçe Eyes Philadelphia Union’s Kai Wagner for January Signing
Fenerbahçe has added a surprising name to its list of left-back targets. The Yellow-Navy Blues have reportedly initiated talks with German player Kai Wagner, who currently plays in the MLS. The 27-year-old's release clause has also been revealed.
Looking to strengthen their squad with a left-back during the January transfer window, Fenerbahçe seems to have found their candidate in the United States. According to Sky Sport, the club is keen on signing Kai Wagner. The report states that Fenerbahçe has begun negotiations with MLS side Philadelphia Union for the German left-back. It was also noted that Spanish club Las Palmas is interested in Wagner as well.
Kai Wagner, whose current market value is €5 million, reportedly has a release clause of €2 million.
This season, Wagner has recorded impressive stats in the MLS, contributing 1 goal and 10 assists. The German defender is under contract with Philadelphia until December 31, 2026.
