Ognjen Mimovic Travels to Russia for Zenit Medical Ahead of Loan
The young player welcomed Zenit's offer and traveled to Russia for medical examinations. The 20-year-old will play for Zenit on loan until the end of the season.

A significant development has emerged regarding the future of Ognjen Mimovic, whom Fenerbahçe recently signed from Red Star Belgrade.
Due to the foreign player quota, Fenerbahçe decided to loan out Mimovic and reached an agreement with Zenit. The young player welcomed Zenit’s offer and traveled to Russia for medical examinations. The 20-year-old will play for Zenit on loan until the end of the season.
Why Is He Being Loaned Out?
Following the collapse of Allan Saint-Maximin’s transfer to Napoli, Fenerbahçe’s winter signings increased the number of foreign players in the squad to 15. However, according to Turkish Football Federation regulations, clubs can have a maximum of 14 foreign players in their squad. As a result, one player had to be left out.
Signed for €6.7 Million
The 20-year-old joined Fenerbahçe from Red Star Belgrade for €6.7 million. Although he was officially registered, he did not get any playing time.
