Mourinho vs. PFDK: Fenerbahçe Coach Faces New Disciplinary Case
Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho has been referred to the PFDK (Professional Football Disciplinary Board) for statements deemed damaging to the reputation of football.

The Portuguese manager had previously received a four-match suspension following the Galatasaray derby, which was later reduced to two games. As a result, Mourinho was absent from the bench during the Turkish Cup match against Gaziantep FK and the league game against Antalyaspor.
Before Fenerbahçe‘s UEFA Europa League match against Rangers, the 62-year-old coach gave various interviews to Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
Fenerbahçe had a bye week in matchday 27 of the league and did not play. Mourinho has now been referred to the PFDK due to statements made in his interviews before the Rangers match.
MOURINHO’S REMARKS
The PFDK announcement stated that Mourinho was referred to the disciplinary board due to comments he made on March 6. On that date, he gave an interview to Sky Sports.
The official statement is as follows:
“FENERBAHÇE A.Ş. head coach JOSE MARIO DOS SANTOS MOURINHO FELIX has been referred to the PFDK without precautionary measures under Article 38 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations due to statements made in the media on 06.03.2025 that were deemed to have damaged the reputation of football.”
