Filip Kostic in Press Conference: “I Wish I Could Have Played in the League Stage”
Fenerbahçe's Serbian footballer Filip Kostić made statements at the press conference ahead of the UEFA Europa League match against Anderlecht.

Kostic emphasized that they would be facing a strong opponent who finished 10th in the league stage, stating:
“We need to be ready from the first minute in tomorrow’s match. We will be on the field with a mindset to win every ball and a positive attitude. The result we get tomorrow is very important because we will have another crucial match against the same opponent next week.”
He also reminded that his name was not included in the UEFA list as he joined the team late in the season and expressed how difficult it was for him to watch all the league stage matches from the stands:
“I WISHED I COULD HAVE PLAYED IN THE LEAGUE STAGE MATCHES.”
“I wished I had played in all the league stage matches. I believed I could have helped the team. Of course, the team also helps me. Playing regularly is very important for me. Now, I am very happy to be playing my first European match. Our fans give us extra energy. We need to be united, and together with our supporters, we can achieve a lot tomorrow.”
“WE CAN’T THINK ABOUT THE FINAL RIGHT NOW.”
Speaking about Fenerbahçe’s UEFA Europa League schedule, Kostić said:
“We can’t think about the final right now because we are far from that stage. We have to take it step by step. We are a positive team with great players. I believe we have a big chance because this club has a structure that deserves to win everything.”
Kostić also mentioned that the team constantly discusses everything among themselves and added:
“I know very well what my teammates want. They get many opportunities in aerial duels. What I need to do is deliver good crosses. Sometimes, my crosses are inaccurate, but I want to improve myself even more. We will see this progress in the upcoming matches.”
