Confessions from Alexander Djiku

Djiku, who was transferred to Fenerbahçe last summer during the transfer period, made statements about the agenda and the general situation of his team. He admitted that he understood some things better after signing for the Yellow-Navy Blue team. Here are all the details...

Djiku, who has a great harmony with Rodrigo Becao in the defense tandem in the new season and makes a great contribution to Fenerbahçe’s defense line both defensively and offensively, made statements. The experienced Ghana player touched upon important issues regarding the general situation of Fenerbahçe among his teammates.

‘Will be a difficult match’

Fenerbahçe’s successful defender Djiku made a statement to Turkish Tv channel Tivibu Spor. Referring to the Hatayspor match, the experienced defender said, “I had an injury, but I think I will be ready for the match. We won all our games this season, but every match in this league is difficult. Every team in this league does its best. Hatayspor is one of the undefeated teams. We want to continue the winning streak by showing our own game. It will be a difficult match.”

When I came here, I knew how a great team Fenerbahçe was. Fenerbahçe is Turkey’s largest community. We get along really well with Rodrigo Becao. Serdar, Samet and Luan are all very high quality players. I think we complete each other.

Sharing his opinion about the talented players in the team, Djiku also listed the players he would not want to face as opponents. Djiku said, “In terms of pure quality, Joshua King is very fast and strong. Cengiz, Szymanski, Tadic and of course, without forgetting İrfan Can Kahveci,” and added, “I am specially preparing for the players who will play against me. I watch their matches and prepare accordingly.

Djiku continued his words as follows:

“Fenerbahçe has not been a champion for a long time. This was a strong competitive element for me. It is also very nice to live here, Turkey is a beautiful country. I also wanted to play in European cups. My dream is to play in the Champions League. Before coming to Fenerbahçe, I was with Appiah “I had the opportunity to talk. He gave me advice. He is a legendary player.”
