İrfan Can Eğribayat: “I Feel My Coach’s Trust, and I’m Gaining Momentum”
Fenerbahçe faced Gaziantep FK away in the final match of Group B in the Ziraat Turkish Cup. Winning all their group-stage matches, Fenerbahçe secured first place and advanced to the quarter-finals.
After the match, Fenerbahçe goalkeeper İrfan Can Eğribayat shared his thoughts:
“I try to give my best in every match I play. Thankfully, I’ve gained good momentum. I feel the trust of my coach. We are competing in three different tournaments, and now we won’t have to travel for the quarter-finals. As I said, we will keep going. I want to thank Volkan ağabey (Volkan Demirel) a lot. We both lost our fathers recently, and it wasn’t an easy time for either of us. We’ve had meaningful conversations. As for the National Team, it’s up to the coaches, but hopefully, if I continue playing like this, they will consider me.”
