Press conference by İsmail Kartal after the Konyaspor match

In the 16th week postponed match of the Trendyol Super Lig, Fenerbahçe won 7-1 against  Konyaspor at their home ground.

The goals for the yellow and navy team were scored by Edin Dzeko (3), Szymanski, Mert Müldür, Michy Batshuayi, and Uğurcan Yazğılı (own goal). Fenerbahçe increased their points to 50.

Fenerbahçe Head Coach İsmail Kartal evaluated the victory on beIN SPORTS.

“First of all, the 7-1 victory made us all very happy. Ultimately, we achieved a significant victory with a game that suits us at our own home. It was a beautiful match. I thank our fans for their positive support. We won, got 3 points, and continue on our way. Thanks to our fans for the positive support they provide. We have very talented players. We are working to improve our attacking options. I am working well with my team and players. Players enjoy it, react positively. We are getting the points we want. Our players are happy with the support coming from the stands. As a coach, I am a son of this club. Since my playing years, I have dedicated my nights and days to being useful to Fenerbahçe. I am happy when I see the results of the struggle I, along with my team, and our respect for each other in training, as a head coach. The respect and love shown to me by our stands make me even happier. I continue to work on how I can reciprocate this love.”

Transfer Statement

Speaking at the press conference held after the match at Ülker Stadium, Kartal stated that they analyzed Konyaspor well.

Emphasizing that they follow all the teams in the league, Kartal said, “We directed and prepared our players quickly with the necessary analysis. We didn’t have time. We went out with a regeneration training. We knew and knew Konyaspor. It’s a team we’ve been following for a long time. We follow all the teams. We achieved a different victory with a beautiful game. I thank the fans for their support. I congratulate the players for the effort they put in.”

Kartal stated that they evaluated all the candidates for the stopper position and decided on Bonucci, mentioning, “In terms of both economics and career and experience, we thought Bonucci would be more beneficial. Describing Bartuğ Elmaz as a young and talented player, Kartal mentioned that he is not interested in records and wants to win matches to become champions.

Kartal also added that there is currently no official transfer offer for any player.
