Edin Dzeko: You have to show character when things aren’t going well
After Fenerbahçe's 3-1 victory against Çaykur Rizespor in the away game, Captain Edin Dzeko stated that they showed character on the field in the second half.

Edin Dzeko‘s post-match comments are as follows:
“I think in the first half, we didn’t realize that football couldn’t be played on this pitch; the field was filled with water, and we conceded a goal for this reason. In the second half, we understood this and played a different style of football. Once we understood this, our game started to change. When things aren’t going well for big teams, they have to show character, just like we did in the second half. We played under difficult conditions. The same conditions applied to Rizespor as well. Our opponent also realized that playing football on this pitch was not feasible and resorted to long balls. In the first half, you couldn’t see the grass on the half of the field where we attacked. It was filled with water. It was tough for goalkeepers too. There was a lot of water on the pitch. The pitches should be in good condition. This is my character; I don’t like to lose. I always want to win. I love winning. Fenerbahçe is the same. Fenerbahçe has been through tough times. When we win, I go home happy. When we lose, I don’t leave the house, and I can’t sleep.”
