“I congratulate the opposing team; they didn’t make the game ugly. In such a pitch, both teams played football like men. Despite such a poor pitch, both teams tried to do their best. We couldn’t do what we wanted in the first half. There were puddles in some parts of the field. In the second half, I brought in players whom I believed could turn the game around. When we won the second balls, we won the game. We needed to put forward a good strategy. I congratulate my players. It’s not right to talk about football on such a heavy pitch.”
