Selahattin Baki’s Response to Galatasaray and Penalty Comments
After Fenerbahçe's 2-1 victory over Kasımpaşa, Fenerbahçe executive Selahattin Baki made post-match statements. Baki responded to Galatasaray's post-match share and commented that two penalty incidents were not called by the referees.
After Fenerbahçe‘s 2-1 win against Kasımpaşa, Selahattin Baki, an executive of the yellow and navy team, made statements.
SELAHATTİN BAKİ: 2 PENALTIES NOT GIVEN
In his statement, Selahattin Baki said, “Unfortunately, our two clear penalty situations were once again not given by the referees. People should carefully observe the body language of the referee in Ferdi‘s situation. He showed a reflex as if he would give the penalty and reversed it within 1 second. Oosterwolde‘s situation is also a clear penalty.”
“WE DO NOT ACCEPT THIS”
Speaking about Icardi being referred to the PFDK (Turkish Football Federation Professional Football Discipline Committee), Baki stated, “Initially, he was not referred. Later, in a forced manner, it was given recklessly, which will go down in history as a disgrace. I assume there is a mentality here to please everyone. They are trying to pursue the idea of ‘We referred it to the PFDK, let’s give a minimal penalty, reduce it to one match, and save the situation.’ I consider this as a message given by the TFF to the PFDK. We do not accept this. The eyes of the Fenerbahçe community are upon them. There have been serious and substantial penalties in similar situations before. When it comes to Galatasaray, Mehmet Büyükekşi, the brain and heart of the federation, contradicts himself.”
RESPONSE TO GALATASARAY’S POST
Responding to Galatasaray’s post, “There is no hand in this position, you have those dirty hands of yours! Shameless!” Baki said, “Congratulations. With their social media post, they have explained themselves and their history in one word. We couldn’t explain it as beautifully ourselves.”
