Ali Koç’s Striking Statements at the High Council Meeting!
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç made striking statements at Fenerbahçe's High Council meeting.
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç spoke at the Yellow-Navy club‘s High Council meeting ahead of the extraordinary general assembly on April 2, where the possibility of “withdrawal from the league” will be discussed.
Ali Koç’s statements are as follows:
“WE’RE NOT PLAYING THE VICTIM CARD”
“We are in an organized evil. We are trying to compete in an environment where justice is not established. Fenerbahçe is not playing the victim card. Hopefully, we will achieve the necessary participation at the meeting on April 2 and make the most rational decisions together. This is our goal.”
“NEW IDEAS EMERGE AS WE CONSULT”
“There are two extremes: One is to do nothing, which is the worst option in my opinion. The other extreme is to withdraw from the league, to suspend Football activities for a while. Between these two extremes, there are various issues and alternatives. As we consult with people, new ideas emerge.”
“WE WILL DISCUSS WITH THE PLAYERS TOMORROW”
“We met with sponsors, asked if they would continue, and got it in writing. In fact, some of our sponsors said they want to give even more. We met with the SPK (Capital Markets Board) and Ziraat Bankası. Tomorrow, we will discuss this issue with our players and technical staff at Samandıra. Together, we will make the most rational decision.”
“I TOLD ISMAİL KARTAL ‘YOU CAN WITHDRAW FROM THE FIELD WHILE LEADING 2-0′”
“While watching the match on television, it was obvious what would happen. I sent a message to the coach when we were leading 2-0 in the match, saying, ‘You can withdraw from the field, the authority is yours.’ Having to send such a message to our coach while we are leading 2-0 in a match, while competing for the championship, is one of the most important examples of the absurdity Turkish football has come to.”
“WE CAN’T ACCESS THE FOOTAGE FROM THE TUNNEL FIGHT”
“The real fights happen in the tunnel. We cannot access the tunnel footage. All the cameras are controlled by the TFF (Turkish Football Federation), we cannot access these footage.”
“OUR PLAYERS SUPPOSEDLY USED EXTRA FORCE IF THEY RAN AWAY”
“No disciplinary actions were taken. Why weren’t they taken? We hear rumors that our players will be penalized. Supposedly, our players used extra force. Supposedly, our players ran away and if they ran away, supposedly, they wouldn’t have to use extra force. They are supposed to penalize our players, hopefully, they won’t do it for their own interests. Turkish football will suffer internationally.”
“ARE YOU PREPARING FOR THE SUPER CUP MATCH?”
“No disciplinary actions were taken. We ask, ‘Why weren’t they taken?’ They say, ‘Don’t worry, when it happens, it will be reckless, it won’t affect the Adana match.’ There is a match on the 7th, will it not affect that match? Are you preparing for that match?”
“ONLY REGISTERED REFEREES ARE ASSIGNED TO THEIR MATCHES”
“The TFF disclosed the records. The person says, ‘I can’t remember my state of mind.’ Registered referees are always assigned to their matches. As Aziz Yıldırım said, they can do everything but act as if they haven’t done anything.”
“WE WON’T JUST SIT WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING ON APRIL 2”
“What we will do is not entirely clear. But we won’t just sit without doing anything, and we say this definitely and clearly.”
